Michael- A few years ago I thought it would be a good idea to try and acquire as many of Dave's Tiger pics as possible. I thought it would be a shame if no one was able to get these before Dave passed away or ? I contacted Dave and asked him what it would take to get copies of them and we struck a deal. That amounted to 71 pictures- not every picture he ever took, because a lot of them were from similar angles, etc.- but, what he sent me was representative of his work with the Tiger. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was certainly cheaper than trying to obtain the pictures one at a time.
I'm glad I did this when I did...I don't think you can order directly from Dave anymore- his collection is in the hands of the Benson Ford museum and their research system would seem to make getting these photos a pricey proposition if one were to undertake this now.
Before I did any of this, I made sure I had Dave's blessings for using the pictures for CAT and the newsletter (TigerTales). That was important to me. If you subscribe to TigerTales you'll see the occasional 'Friedman File' that I contribute to the newsletter (when the editor has space available). Keep your eyes open for more in the future...Kirk
