Dont know what you mean by "not sure about the history'
car was in 1 family ownership for most of its life. Original owners died in a plane crash in the 80's.. then car sat for a while.. was purchased from the family in 2009'ish.. Mike bought the car a couple of years ago.. joined the forum.. posted many updates on his sorting.. then sold it to a melbourne sunbeamer this year.. it arrived earlier this year and has been methodically (and is still being) sorted through.
The owner likes his cars factory stock and unrestored.. he has one of the most orignal alpines i have seen along with many other rootes, 60's british and italian cars... car is in good hands.. and i was lucky enough to have a drive on sunday, and might i say reminds me how charming ans subtle a factory car can be.. a true "grand touring" car
