Come and join us at the 8th annual Carolina British Classics Car Show on Saturday April 5th, 2014. Registration for the show this year is $30 before March 5th and $35 after. There is no additional charge for passengers and early registration gets you a free event shirt. The show this year celebrates the Jaguar. Again we will be merging our event with the popular Tartan Day South Festival at the Columbia Speedway which is a historic vintage track from the early days of NASCAR racing. There will be lots of interesting and entertaining diversions throughout the day and a variety of merchandise and food vendors. A portion of the proceeds will benefit two charities this year: Wounded Warriors and Hidden Wounds.

The show's web page and registration info is at http://www.bccmc.com/CBC-VIII.html

Last year we had 36 Sunbeams at the show-come join us! There is lots of parking space for car trailers at the show as well.

Early registration ends in two days! We are also going to have a huge Sunbeam parts swap meet at the hotel so bring some parts to sell.

The Wingate has taken care of us again with discounted rates for our group. This is the same motel that we have used the last two years. It is convenient to the interstates, about a 6 mile drive to the car show etc. We will have the room again for parts / hospitality etc.

The details are:

The Wingate
108 Saluda Pointe Court
Lexington, SC 29072

1-803-957-5000
The rooms are $89.00 plus tax

When you call please use the magic word "SUNBEAM" to get these rates.

I would suggest getting your rooms pretty quickly. There will also be a Model T group staying at the motel while we are there and rooms could get in short supply.

Nearly 20 Sunbeams are registered for this event-we outnumber the MG's!
Room for lots more so see you there. After this long cold winter a little Southern sunshine will feel great for you Northern Sunbeam owners!

Last call for all Sunbeams and Rootes cars in the SE.

Well you can't let the weather report make you decide not to come to our show this Saturday! 85 today, 86 Friday, and 76 Saturday with lots of Carolina blue skies and sunshine. Only a 10% chance of scattered showers on Friday and Saturday but the yellow pine pollen is thick now so a little rain would be welcomed. We have several owners coming down from up North to warm up a little bit too! Eric

Thanks to all who came! Sunbeam numbers were down this year to about 14 cars but we had several TE/AE members who came from Wisconsin., Ohio, and Michigan without their cars to escape the frozen North. Weather was sunny and PERFECT with a temperature of 75 degrees.
Not a single Tiger braved the weather to join us-it was all Alpines this year.
See you next year. Eric

Very Nice Cars

Eric,

Sorry to hear that no Tigers made it to the show, but it looks like there were some very nice Alpines. And the weather looked good, too! Thanks for letting folks know about the show and for posting your wonderful photos.
