May 21st-British Car show featuring Sunbeam-Columbia, South Carolina

Come join The British Car Club Midlands Centre at our annual British car show on May 21st-and this year the Sunbeam is the featured marque! The location will be the Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, South Carolina. All makes of British cars are invited to attend and they can be in any condition. Sunbeams, Hillmans, and Talbots are most welcomed to join us.

The show's early registration discount expires on April 21st. Early registration also gets you a free T-shirt! Come join us for what is now the largest gathering of Sunbeams in the South. We will have a weekend of activities for the Sunbeams that are at the show at no extra cost.

After the show Dinner Cruise!
Here is what we have planned for during the weekend for all Sunbeam owners that will be in town.

The car show is Saturday 21st - SUNBEAMS are the featured marque.
The show will run from 8:30A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
We will meet at the marina (details to follow) at 5:30 P.M. for a two hour sunset cruise of Lake Murray. We will have heavy hors D'oeuvres and a cash bar. The cost of the cruise per person is $35.00. The cruise will last two hours from 6:00P.M. till 8:00P.M.

I need to know ASAP from each of you coming to the show if you can make the cruise or not. We have to have at least 40 people to make it worth their while to take the boat out.

This is a nice double decker boat that will be very comfortable for all of us. They can hold up to 100 on the boat.

Now the plans are Friday night dinner at The Cotton Grill in Lexington and a cruise on Saturday night.

Our show is tomorrow and the weather will be perfect! The cruise was cancelled for Saturday night-we will have food available at the host hotel after the show on Saturday and do some socializing there. Even if your car is not running come join us and meet some great Sunbeam folks! Eric

We had a great show on Saturday with 16 Sunbeams present. 6 Tigers, 9 Alpines and 1 Harrington. Since Sunbeam was the featured marque, we got to line up along the trees which was a good thing as it was shady there all day long. Since the temperature reached over 90 degrees, many folks hung out with the Sunbeam crowd to cool off! For once we out numbered the MG's at the show too. Here are a few photos....Eric
