This just in from President of LASAAC. They would like a Tiger or three at their show in El Segundo.
The 3rd Annual Benefit Car Show for the El Segundo Education Foundation at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo is almost here! It's just over one week away on Saturday, June 5th and although we have a lot of cars signed up, we're missing some of the older Shelbys. We need 65 GT350's; '66 GT350 Hertz; '67 GT350/500's; '68 GT350/500's; '69/'70 GT350/GT500; 289/427 Street Cobras and Tigers. This year, the ADM is featuring Shelby Automobiles as the featured car and we'd like to have at least a couple examples of each year to show everyone the differences between all the Shelbys. If you do have one of these cars, we'd love to have you. Our Club will have a booth set up there and all you guys are welcome to join us! Please sign up as soon as possible as this isn't a "Shelby Only Car Show". They do have quite a few other cars signed up in other classes and they can only accommodate so many cars overall, so there probably won't be any "day of show" entries. The Car Show is from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday, June 5th, right down the street from where the first Shelby Mustangs were built at 6501 W Imperial Hwy. With your $20 entry, you will receive admission to the museum, a goody bag and a commemorative Carroll Shelby Tribute Photo Book with over 30 pages of photographs, many never published before. This incredible photo book was a joint effort between LASAAC member, Michael Holmes of Racing Division Inc. and Carroll Shelby Licensing. A collectible Mattel Hot Wheels car designed especially for this ADM Car Show will be made available for purchase, with proceeds going to Ed!. South Bay Ford, who will exhibit two Ford vehicles including a Shelby Mustang is among this year's title sponsors. There will be many Car Show awards given, as well as special awards for Best of Show, People's Choice, Sponsor's Choice and Best Shelby.
