For anyone in the LA area interested in attending a free car show (how often do you get free??), there is one coming up on Oct 24th.
Show runs from 10-2, has no entry fee and there are trophies. It is going to be at the SpeedZone, in their main parking lot. SpeedZone is located right off the 60 fwy in the Puente Hills Mall complex. Exit Azusa Av, go east to Stoner Creek. SpeedZone is at Stoner Creek and Castleton Av.
