Lost the 2 bolts from my starter to the bellhousing ( Replacing my starter to a Hi-torque also smaller) . When trought all my litterature , could not find the exact dimension .

Anyone can help !!! what I have is 3/8 by inch ?? That not enough !!

According to the Parts Manual, the starter bolts should be 3/8" x 1". Attached is a screen shot of part of page WF2. It refers the reader to the Engine section. (Note that it also refers to page WF7. This has to be a typo from carrying over from the pre-289 Parts Manual, as there is nothing about the starter motor or the bolts on WF7. Also attached is from Plate A of section WF, showing a diagram of the starter motor, including mounting bolts.

The other attachment is from page AAF6 from the section for MkII engines. It specifies the bolt size.

I would suspect that these bolts are not fine but are coarse.

I had the same spread sheet, So it should be 3/8 by 16 thread and one inches long

Just when with the Tap in the bellhousing ( starter hole ) , 3/8 16 this is the right size.
