I put a new pilot bearing in the end of the crank and I tried the old input shaft in and it wouldn't go. I lifted the trans and it wouldn't go in. I had another pilot bearing which I fit it on the new input shaft on the trans and it fit. I put it in the crank and lifted the trans and the input shaft won't fit. Any body have this happen? Bill

I take two 3 inch long bolts that fits the bell housing and cut the head off.

Screw those into two diagonal holes in the bell.

Now slide the trans onto those pins and push it home.

Install the other two bolts, then remove the studs and install the last two bolts.
