Default Is there a trunk strut 'kit' available anywhere

Have seen a few pictures of cars with trunk struts instead of the orig HD springs and wondering if this has been a DIY thing or does someone offer a kit.

Default Good question

Old old pictures and content show Bob H. and Dale of these items installed in the early days. My head wishes there was an easy replacement for the trunk latch itself as well. Many cars like mine have stress marks where the torsion bars or w/e they are called cause the support area to crack.

I have also seen some reference to the kit on the Alpine site but it's been a long time.

Boss-tiger, try this: http://forum.sunbeamalpine.org/index...version.25642/

It is a very good discussion with parts/part numbers/fabrication of parts and sources for the gas Struts

Hope this helps,
