We raced our Tiger at the Pre Historics last weekend at Laguna Seca (Monterey).(8/8/09 & 8/9/09)

Saturday had a morning practice and then an afternoon race. On Sunday there was a warmup in the morning and then the race in the afternoon.

Both races resulted with same cars in the top 3 positions for each race. (Terry Gough won both races in his white Vette, followed by a very fast Lotus 26R with John Morton driving the white Sports Car Forum Tiger in 3rd.)

In both races, Terry jumped to an immediate lead and John followed him into second place.

According to John, The SCF Tiger ran "cooler than usual" but had some brake fade. John had enough brake left to run his fastest lap on the final lap. Both Terry and John experienced slower times than they had two years ago.

We'll head back in a few days for the Historics. Tom Sakai will join us in the adjacent pits. At the Historics we practice only once (that's on Friday afternoon). That session doubles as our "qualifying". And then we wait 2 days for our Sunday afternoon race.

Hope to see many of you there.

Buck,

In Septembers issue of "MOTORSPORT" there is a preview of the montery historics... and a certain #74 looks to be doing quite well.
