Can the gear linkages be removed and readjusted while still in car? I did something wrong and have to remove one linkage, change the position on the gearbox and reattach the linkage.

Gear linkages

Put the trans in neutral, loosen the adjustment nuts on the linkage.
Put a quarter inch drill bit in the hole on the shifter housing and then
tighten the 3 adjustable nuts on the linkage. Remove drill bit and your done.
If there's any binding or slop with the linkage, you can use the appropriate size
washers to take up the slack.
I hope that works for you.

Shifter linkage

Yes it can be removed and changed while in the car. I did mine and wished I had smaller hands!

I removed the the linkages and found the 3rd & 4th shift bracket is broken. Any one have a spare?. Or where can a replacement be sourced?

Did You Check the White Pages?

Steven,

As a C.A.T. member, you have access to the Members Only section. There you will find the White Pages, where you can find a couple of companies that supply tranny parts. The listings include contact information. I don't personally know if they sell the linkage, but they may be a good place to start.

I hope you find the part you need!
