Duckbill drains

There is a guy selling duckbills on evilbay. He states that mark 1 only had 1 duckbill on the end of that drain under the heater core. He also states a 1A & 2 had 3, the centre one and 1 each side to drain the fresh air vents. Now my big restore is a 1 and it has 3 duckbills. Even if it does not have the fresh air vents, it would still need drains for the vent openings?

The MKIA/II and SV Alpine have the additional duckbills attached to the drain tubes that exit the bottoms of the hinged fresh air vent boxes under the scuttle. The earlier cars shouldnt have them as they shouldnt have an point of entry for water through the scuttle vents into the interior.

drains

i believe the guy selling the duckbill drains buys them along with several other items from sunbeam specialties and puts them on ebay. when in doubt, contact rick. but a MK1 should only have one since it is a series 4 alpine body and had no vents.
