LASAAC hosted the 6th Annual Tony Souza Car Show on the Pier in Santa Monica. Sept. 11, yes 911 and that solemn anniversary was noted and honored with American Flags for all participants and there was a very large Flag raised on an extended Fire Truck's multi-story ladder reminding us all of the sacrifices of the brave men and women who helped others to live.

Only two Tigers in the show. Colin and Ann Hook took the 1st place Trophy (Nice crystal!) while Bonnie and I (and CCI Pup in Training Tifi)also received a smaller but also handsome Trophy for 2nd Place. All participants voted (Popular Choice) on the 20 some classes ( I voted for the Hooks too). Several other CAT Members were on hand as Participants or dropped by to see the show.

Bernie Kretzchmar, a Former Shelby American Employee and Race Mechanic/ Builder in his own right was the Honored Guest. The Estes yellow Cougar TransAm car owned by Mike Eisenberg (CAT Member) and prepared for racing by Bernie was on hand along with Bernies' '66 GT350H which took 1st in Class at the show.

Best of Show went to Bruce Kawaguchi and his GT350R with livery of the Shelby Driving School.

No glare in the pictures as the low clouds hung in for the duration of the show.

Thanks for posting some pics Rick.

Bruce's car is pretty special - one of the three original cars used in the Carroll Shelby School of High Performance Driving back in the day at Riverside.

BTW, we need a bigger contingent of Tigers at the show!
