The article gives some Tiger history. However, I think the author might have been enjoying too many Guinness ales when he was talking about the differences between the three models and wrote the following
Mark IA and Mark II Tigers are based on Series V Alpines and can be further differentiated from the later Mark I/Series IV cars by the lack of eggcrate grilles and vinyl speed stripes running down the car laterally, above the sills.
This seems to say that the Mk I Tigers had eggcrate grilles and vinyl stripes above the sills. I suspect that part of a sentence or two were accidently left out in the above.
