Got around to cleaning the motor on my Tiger as its now out of the car. First thing I saw was a small alum tag on the carby that says

FORMCO
C4DF S
A4FD

So learned gentry, what does that mean?

Will be checking the lower engine numbers later

C4 should be 1964..... After that I am stumped too.

C is the decade (60's)
4 is the year of the decade
3rd letter is the product line it was originally designed for.. but can be used on many models, in the 60's 'D' was Falcon
4th letter is Engineering dept. F is for engine accessories.
