Hi all. I am looking for a nice radio for use in a LAT-72 console. I think the right one is the Motorola 525T, but I am not at all sure that's the one pictured in the LAT brochure I've seen. A picture of the one I'd like can be seen at

http://www.tigersunited.com/resources/parts_service/pp-lat72.asp.

If anyone has one they'd sell or even simply knows what model this is, I'll be grateful. Thanks.

I have the same radio and console as in the pic from your link including the euro face ( vs a U.S. one ) but I don't know what model it is... it's in my car and not for sale...

I know it's not a 525T as I also have one of those... not much left of it... no knobs, one broken push button...
It's the same as the one at the bottom of the page at this link...

It also says World Radio Ltd. London NW2 on the back and states positive ground See inside cover for instructions for negative ground.

I've found a link to some info on the radio in the Tigersunited pic... or at least a VERY similar one...

http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/worldradio_motorola_73114.html

It says to be pos. ground. I know I've seen the same radio in Tigers with the North American 'single' band face and would also presume that they are neg. ground . I imagine they are also a different model #

I'd take it

Hi. Thanks. Now I would like to find the same radio for my car. On the oth hand, I would buy your 525T, if it is for sale. At least it would be a start.

There is a fellow in the UK that often advertises ( on e-Bay ) old radios that he has converted to have an ipod plug on them... He usually has '70's Radiomobiles etc. but I see on his website he has a 60's Motorola 818T converted and it is exactly like the one in my car... right down to the alum. bits behind the knobs...

It's offered at £225

I've also found another fellow in the UK who will take your radio and convert it to an AM/FM / ipod dongle complete with a 4 channel 45w/channel amp ... all inside the case... He also sells completed units but lots of $$$$

I guess it all depends whether you want it for 'show' ... or 'go' ;)
