Oil cooler methods

I am re-doing the remote oiling system and thinking of incorporating an oil cooler in my never ending war on overheating. If I could keep the engine at 190-200F I would be a happy guy!

What is optimum oil temp for a street car on synthetic oil? I see Buck quoting 230F but that must be track use.

I have a good handle on the engine/radiator side of the equation, and now for the oil:

What size of cooler?
Mounting location and relation to the radiator?
Intregal fan on the cooler?
Thermostatic control would seem a must for seasonal use so the oil is not too cool
