When you install a new oil line from the engine block to the oil gauge do you need to bleed out the air if so what is the best way ?

I'm thinking no need to bleed. The oil and air pockets will quickly equalize, so at worst a very small delayed reaction at the gauge.

If you can score one that is in black plastic It will look like stock. Or I suppose you could just not change your oil very often if clear... haha. The original was black plastic and had a Smith's stamping on it .

there is also a small fiber washer at the gauge end... I've never had to bleed an oil pressure line
