Mike Jones was a “Rootes Pupil”. (Telling us about that excellent apprentice program alone would make Mike a prime candidate to speak to us.) But there's much more. Mike then became an engineer, first working for Rootes and then for Jensen where he eventually rose to become their chief engineer. Along the way he was the chief chassis engineer for Land Rover and later Lotus. He is the only survivor of the engineering team that developed the AF prototypes into production Tigers.

Patrick King has agreed to hold a short session on Friday describing the features judges look for in concours competition. Patrick is the Chairman of the STOA’s TAC committee and is very prominent in providing Alpine and Tiger parts, not just locally but world-wide. Few are close to his knowledge of either marque.

Note: due to availability issues, John Nikas will speak on the Tuesday since he has another speaking commitment a few days later (Friday) in the UK.
BTW, John is now just finishing a book involving Lord Rootes which should be in print by the time he speaks at SUNI.

Additionally there will be informal tech sessions in the Vendor Room which will be coordinated by Eric Gibeaut.
Tentatively Tom Hall is expected to explain his 6 to 1 brake pedal modification, Pam Jeffers will host a knitting class and there's a rumor that Martha Christensen may answer some questions about Sunbeam interiors.
