Of course, WITH the world of LAT parts, it's a trick question...

However, a case could be made, whatever the number, NOT big enough.

According to TEAE concours guide, 3/4" stock, 7/8" LAT option.

1" would be clearly lighter. As a torsion bar it will be about the same stiffness as the 7/8" bar. You would have to know the wall thickness of the "hollow" bar and do some math to be sure.....

FYI got a 1” sway bar that is solid and have a poly or rubber bushing on the bar, which broke off by hand. Want to source bushings also but a Tiger freind informed me that he used 1” id clear rubber tubing which has a 3/16“ wall thickness. Has had them on his Tiger for 20 years with no problem. Will give it a try.

Curt Bowland has a 1” Sway bay on his Tiger, which has rubber bushings. Believe his is solid also.

I have a 1 1/8" bar on my car using the stock clips and it has never torn the tabs off but I've seen small pieces of round stock welded across the top of the outside of the slot to add strength
I think someone made a bunch of these in the past... They are pretty HD ...
