I purchased from CG Autowood. Here is the one I used:

On mine, the burl is mirrored left/right in the center, at a vertical line through the clock. No one has ever noticed, however, and I have heard that they do not do this anymore.

Nice dash Woody. You were lucky to buy one before the CG Autowood folded. I bought one too just before they closed the doors. It's a beautiful thing.

Id assume you mean why thr speedo has no millage and odo numbers?
It appears he is using the digital GPS gauges nim sells.. You can see the black screens in those locations

I think Tony Butler was referring to the red pointers. Neither is at "0".

You got it, they are Jim's modern electronic gauges, but I'm not using GPS. The speedo is connected to the electronic sensor on the five speed trans. As to why the needles are not at zero, I do not know. At the time this picture was taken, they had never been powered on, at least by me. Now installed at the car, they do rest at zero when off.

Thanks, Rick, I really hate to hear that they've closed up. The finish is gorgeous, but they did not countersink the holes for the upper and side screws, and there was no relief above the glovebox for the wires to the map light. That said, I'm still quite happy with it.

Yes they are not at zero, do they need adjusting or calibrated?
Nope. They are at zero installed in the car. While the dash was on that table, it might have been upside down while I worked on wiring, but they work marvelously now.

Nope... The mkii tachs still only went to 5500 for redline.. And 6 total..
These are the aftermarket 8k faces similar to the factory rootes smiths race tach
Could the 289 rev a little higher than the 260 ? Thanks for the info , always new stuff to learn

WOW... I'm getting a lot of 'free' advertising on this thread!! lol
Both those 4" gauges are driven by stepper motors and they often come from the factory with the pointers not at zero. The first time they are powered up they do a self calibration and go to zero and stay there!
They 'self' calibrate every time they get power and the early versions used to do a full dial sweep and return to zero when you turned the key on which was kinda cool I thought but the laterst software revision just has the pointer 'vibrate' around zero for about 1 second every time the key is turned on
