Fluidyne Radiator Install

Time to get the Radiator in. Before I forget, the pulley will need to go on before the radiator is in, just reminding myself!

This is a Fluidyne 3 pass. Not my preferred design but will drop in and a lot better cooling then the Griffin that I had at one time.

Need to space off the radiator a bit off the support, so I'm going to use 1/4" Rubber spacers to hold it all in. This just about moves it out enough to clear the ragged sheet metal on parts of my car. I likely should have hit it with the hammer and grinder before painting, but didn't catch it. Waiting on some hardware and large diameter washers for the bolt down (McMaster-Carr for the 3rd order in the last week).

Got my stash of silicon hoses and couplers and started putting the radiator hoses together as well as de-gas and overflow tanks. I will fix the hose clamp line from de-gas to overflow can with a proper set of AN fittings, again, just because I want to spend 50 dollars on fittings and hose to replace something that would normally work fine!

The lower hose was a 1.75" 90 degree hose that somehow just worked. The Fluidyne lower outlet has it coming out of the radiator at a slight angle, so not quite 90 to the pump, but enough flex in the hose to work. Upper hose are a pair of 90 degree 1.5" hoses with a coupler I made on the bead roller. All hose clamps are smooth inside to prevent them from cutting and extruding the hose from the hose clamps.

Fan has about 1.5+ inches to the face of radiator, so can actually get a wrench to tighten the fan on!

I forgot to show a simple trick I saw on the Interwebs for cutting hose with a nice clean edge. Worked out well for the silicon hose, just use a sharp razor knife and a hose clamp slightly tightened down and use that as a guide. The bottom hose needed to be trimmed, but the hose clamp a bit loosened and cocked did the trick for a clean slice.
