A new form of motor racing launched last weekend, formula E, which is the electric formula series.... certainly a different experience. The cars sound like large R/C cars and you hear the tyres and cars thumping the track and thats about it.

I happned to be in the 'hood so dropped in for a look. Motorsport really needs sound IMHO.

the race was 25 laps long.. they actually drive into the put garage and change cars....

the cars also still dont have enough charge to go flat out all the time.. the leader ran out of battery on the last corner of the last lap.
