Sleeping tiger

Values ?

In the end, value is subjective to both buyer & seller. Having been here with Tigers since the beginning, we've seen the ups & downs & in between. If, in fact, it is original, DO NOT touch it. The current wave is in your favor . . . . .Gently maintain and preserve the critter as is.

Sounds like a good car. I see no reason to rush out and get it TACed unless you plan on painting it and/or selling it. A very original car that has not been dismantled, has original carpet, etc, I'd very easy to identify as an original Tiger.
As far as value, it depends on if it runs without having to rebuild. I understand it ran when parked, but really, everything ran the last time it was parked. :)
I would say it's a 30-40k car if everything is original, but those pictures don't reveal much.
I just purchased a second owner MKI with 49,000, very original interior, seats untorn, original worn carpet, wood wheel nearly perfect, original soft top (shrunk) original drivetrain, etc., but the body and paint are rough, needs new rockers and a couple dog-legs, otherwise solid body. No hardtop.
I paid 20k, and feel this was pushing the upper limit, but its what I could afford. But that's only my opinion. You may have a car that someone really wants and is willing to pay big money for.
Don't get you mothers hopes up by throwing figures out there like $50k and more, when it may never happen.
