Following the STOC Nationals, a dozen Tigers visited the new home of the Rootes Archive Centre Trust at Apollo Park, just outside Wroxton in the UK.
The new building, which will be owned by the Archive, is nearing completion. Some interior work remains but the majority of the paper drawing portion of the Archive collection (perhaps 150,000 drawings) has already been moved into its new home.
While ownership eliminates the vulnerability to rent hikes, the Archive has accrued significant debt which must be retired, so fundraising will continue.
