Very interesting car. Keep posting progress. How are you controlling wheel hop? Cliff

Call me old school...

... but a Chevy in a Tiger is just not right. Of course, it should be very fast... but that could have happened with a Ford engine, too.

Just my humble opinion (from a guy who would rather eat worms than drive a Chevy).

Regards,

Bill

Needs a new name

From the picture, it looks like a series III Alpine body, so it was never a Tiger. A Tiger is a specific series of cars produced a certain way with corresponding serial numbers with a starting and ending date, At United at Sacramento several years ago, a couple came over from England in a Sunbeam that had a "Tiger" title. It was a unique car which appeared to be an authentic Sunbeam which had an official title of "Tiger." Then couple tried to get it authenticated but were told that Tigers are only those specific cars, etc.

The point is this looks like an interesting well done modified Sunbeam, but it was not a Tiger, and should not be called a Tiger." If we step away from the Tiger name, it can be appreciated for what it is. My thoughts, Cliff

What's important

Is to welcome all. From my perspective the Alpine,Tiger prototype was an earlier Series car.
Chiger sounds different.
Maybe we could become the CAT- T&A club.
That's Tiger and Alpine what were you thinking ;)

I 've always wondered what prompted Chrysler to reuse the name TIGER when they built the Hillman Avenger Tiger. Anyone have any info on this?
