I'm currently running a Pertronix III ignition system and my tach is bouncing all over the place. Who's currently rebuilding tachs that could handle this issue?

TIA.

You might try checking in with Tom Hall.
I seem to recall that he used to install modern electronic guts he sourced from (our webmaster) Theo Smit into Tiger tachs. Tom or Theo may know how this guts upgrade behaves with multiple discharge spark units like the Pertronix III. Also Pertronix used to sell tach adapters that might help.

I've sold a lot of new electronic Tiger tachs and the ONLY ignition that it wouldn't work with was Pertronics III not sure why... I've run a Pertronics II on one for years and no problem with that

I rebuilt my tach following these instructions.

If you are handy with a soldering iron, give it a try. I bought the parts from Digikey.com.
It seems to work without modification with a Pertronix 1281. Some calibration with the adjustment pot was required. For me, the instructions were excellent.
A little finicky, but fun to do. I just installed the electronics to get my clock to work. And it does. Another battle concquered.

British Speedo in NY can configure it to work 914.536.1346, or you can buy a new programable tach from Sunbeamcarparts.co.uk I just got one of these and it'll work with everything, and I thought it was bargain priced.
