Will original center visor bracket 'springs' survive a re-chrome

Have orig visors/brackets - visors in great shape (probably never used), brackets not so good -some pitting. I am worried about center visor bracket that bolts under rear view mirror, specifically if the 'springs' would get screwed up during a re-chrome. Has anyone done this before, any opinions, recommendations requested.

Have you checked to see the brackets still hold the visors in place? The brackets hollow out and the springs can loose tension.. make sure they actually work before rechroming
