I have a set of 8-spoke American magnesium wheels that I have owned since the '80s. I used to run them on my red Tiger that I sold to Jere T. in the '90s (I kept the wheels). If I get my Tiger restored in time for TU '22, I was hoping to put the mags on the car for the car show. (I would never run them in the Autocross, as I did in the '80s--the wheels are too old, too rare.) The problem I'm having is finding the correct valve-stem for the front wheels. The valve stem protrudes through the polished part of the rim at a weird angle. On the rear wheels, the valve-stem comes through the center, in a more traditional manner. As I've stated in other posts, my Sunbeam memory is fading. I had these wheels on in the '80s. but I don't recall what valve-stem I used. I bought the wheels used, and I'm not sure they even came off of a Tiger.
FYI, I also have a set of American Racing Equipment aluminum wheels that look similar to the mags. So if you see me running these in the Autocross, they're aluminum, not mag.
Thanks for any help,
Steven Alcala
