This was a good show last year. This one will be as good if not better.

Tiger Tales says there is a CAT meeting at this event.

I don't see any notice about it here on the Forum...

Dan, an email went out saying the meeting is at the Sept.17th show at 11:00 AM. But here are some other reasons to come to this great show:

--It's free to spectate, most of the show is outside, and it only costs $5 to enter the museum--totally worth it.
--60th year of the Cobra, LA Shelby is bringing out the Herbie Hancock CSX 2006 Cobra (sixth production Cobra built).
--Dave Friedman book signing
--Ted Sutton, Shelby Race Tiger #45 mechanic
--Buck and Claudia are bringing out their Survivor 1965 Tiger-- this is the most stock, unrestored Tiger I have ever seem. It will not be in the show, they're just going to driver over. So if you're into the stock stuff, have your cameras ready.
--And yes, this year's Lord Rootes winning Tiger and Trophy will be on hand. (Proof that any piece of crap tiger can win Lord Rootes)

Hi Dan and Steve and any CAT members planning on going,

As it turns out both Mike Michels and myself are out of town and won't be able to attend the event. Other board members aren't sure if they will be able to attend the event either, so at this point, the actual CAT meeting is tabled until next month. I am sad I cannot attend as this sounds like a really great event and the chance to see the Tripple's survivor car is really all you need to come out! whomever attends, we would really appreciate any photos taken for Tiger Tales and sent to Mike.

Thanks so much,

Dan MacMedan

Seems to me that there should have been another email going out to all C.A.T. members to let them know the meeting has been cancelled. There may be folks planning to attend a C.A.T. meeting who are not regular visitors to the Forum.

With Apologies, I was waiting till the last minute hoping at least one of the CAT board would have been able to attend and run the meeting and at at the very end no one was able to and Mike ( who has access to the Cat Tiger Events Email ) by that time was already on a flight to Europe.

I'd say no one was upset as to the lack of a meeting. Several Tiger's attended 8 as I recall.

The cool marine layer helped make the show a very relaxing event.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the LA Shelby car show. Special shout out To Dan M. and Garry U. who drove out from Riverside and Wildomar (hour trip, likely two to get home with the 91 messed up). Congrats to Scott Campbell and his perfect green Mark II for talking first place in the Tiger class.

Ted Sutton, part of the team that built and championed the #45 Shelby Tiger in 1964. Fast forward 58 years, he is part of the Old Venice Crew (OVC). Pictured with our own Buck and Claudia, owners of the SCF Race Tiger and with that came parts from the Shelby Tiger. Also pictured is writer Sylvia W.

This was a good day. Drive back to Riv took 2 hours, 57 to 60 to bypass the closed 91. Between the construction and rear end oops, a long slow drive.
