5" Ground Wire

I would like to avoid taking my seat out of my Series III for reference on this. Can someone tell me where this little 5" ground wire came from under my dash? My dash did not have a AMP meter or clock when I took it apart.

The Wiper switch needs to be grounded to operate. Maybe it's that?

Assuming that you have accounted for all the individual ground wires that make up the daisy chain that run between gauges/switches, my best guess is the ground wire to the cigar lighter...which is separate.

I went and looked since I have my dash out. I have that same wire hanging off of my wiper switch. It goes to ground on the same post as the daisy chain, on the back of tach I believe. That part I am foggy on because it's all apart.

You were right PITT. Since you said wiper and it's accessible on the Alpine I reached up underneath and Wala! Yes, wiper ground to instrument post.
