66 Tiger/Alpine Steering Column Interior Shaft

Need to replace the interior splined shaft for my '66 Tiger. Mine had been previously modified for a race application. Wish to return to stock. I'm sure an Apline shaft will work.

From my memory the Alpine shaft is shorter, it travels to the steering box midway on the front main frame and the Tiger travels further to the uni's. I am sure someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Yep, it´s definite since we tried. The Alpine shaft does not fit...

Jim Leach used to offer a service rebuilding steering columns. He may have a rod or two laying around for sale. The last email address I have is From: TIGEROOTES@aol.com
