After some discovery that nothing is square in my car, which might be typical of a Tiger, I just ended up having to eyeball the center of the car based on the trans tunnel. Mounted the front, used a long ruler and tried my best to align the front and back tank brackets. Ended up getting lucky as it fit solid with no "hole ovaling" to make it work. This fared better then my feeble attempts at welding up the super thin sheet metal (after smashing).
Also made up some backer plates for the bolts to make it extra secure.
