I have electric fans fitted to the radiator what is the best way to power them. Is a relay needed? On my setup the power is common to the trip side and the power side. Also powering the fans from the battery or switched battery ? if powered direct from the battery they run for a very long time when the motor is off.

I usually run a relay from a therm button at the rad top/side. Safer hook-up methinks.
