Took the Tiger for a spirited run through the Conejo Valley today. Car ran great. Pulled into the garage, revved the engine and heard 'knock, knock, knock,' on deceleration. Horrified, I revved it again. Same knocking sound on deceleration, only a little different cadence. Shut the motor off. Sounded like the worst rod knock I've ever heard. While I was still contemplating the $$$ signs and the job ahead, I once again heard the 'knock, knock, knock'. I got out of the Tiger and there was my neighbor pounding a 2x6 with a hammer! Dang, best unintended practical joke ever!! Whew!
