I recently obtained a pair of post latches that has been rechromed. The pins were removed and replaced with nut/bolt. Does anyone have any experience with replacement pins? It looks like there are thin spacers used in the middle to keep hinge tight. Thanks for any help.

You can use roll pins, or you could get stainless dowel pins of the correct diameter and knurl one end so that they hold. The roll pins are available from good hardware stores. Not completely correct in appearance because they are hollow, they would work. I'd opt for stainless (solid) dowel pins and knurl one end on a lathe..
