My Tiger will be listed on Bring A Trailer in about two weeks. It is a solid and superb original 1965 MK1. It was owned by Andrea Hellings, long time Tiger enthusiast and one of the creators of SUNI.

The car has 50,000 original documented miles and I have a complete history and all service records for the last 7 years. Originally purchased by Harvey Friend on 10/25/1965 from Crook's Motors in New haven Connecticut, Harvey kept the car and sold it to Andrea Hellings in 1987. Andrea was very active in the Tiger community and many people remember her like Tiger Tom. Andrea had Scott Woerth, a well known Tiger restorer from years ago do a light restore.

I have owned the car since 2013. We did an interior refresh by re-dying original carpets as they were in great shape, replacing seat foams and dash and R&Ring the gauges. Other than that it was too nice to replace more

We have methodically rebuilt most of the mechanicals the first 3 year or ownership and the car drives like new and is extremely reliable. Larry Marzano, ex Tiger racer and expert here locally has assisted with all the work. I have all receipts and a fresh PPI.

Car is original except for and Nardi steering wheel, modern vintage radio, Edelbrock manifold with 4 barrel carb and led headlights and bulbs. All original parts are included. Also Andrea changed the trans to a wide ratio 4 speed Toploader as she wanted a more relaxed RPM on the highway. The car runs at 2500 RPM and 60 MPH. The engine and trans are original and the engine maintains a solid 200 degrees idling in traffic on a 90 degree day, remarkable for a Tiger.

TAC was done by Patrick, Rob Roy and Duke in 2014.

I was hoping to find someone in the community to purchase it but have had no luck. I wants to thank everyone for all of the help over the years and am posting pictures and video link for everyone's enjoyment. Thanks You!

I remember when Andrea and Gary showed up with this car at the TE/AE United years ago. The car was fresh out of Scott's shop. It was fantastic. They also had a unique Tiger with the Tiger painted on the under side of the hood. Andrea came up in a conversation among a group of us old guys at the United last summer. Have you heard from her?

It is really a wonderful car. Not a trailer queen but an almost perfect car that you can actually drive and enjoy.

Yes I have talked to Andrea a lot and heard stories about the other Tiger with the painting under the hood. She also told me a little about Scott. Maybe you have more detail? She really didn't want to sell this car but was happy to find out it had a good home. She is doing well in Texas and we are both hoping that this car finds a good home that will show her off and enjoy her. I go to a lot of cruise nights and an occasional show and the the car always draws attention because you see very few in Illinois. I use to get a lot of trophies, check out the shelf picture, but stopped accepting them. If there is a muscle car show with an import class the Tiger would always win. Give a muscle car guy a choice between a Tiger with a Ford V8 and an MG or Alpha, game over.

It has be a wonderful car and I really enjoyed getting all of the mechanical up to snuff. We are moving on the next few months and downsizing. I was going to sell it last year when the brake booster, one of the things that I hadn't fixed gave way. It is fixed now and the brakes weren't bad before but are much better, almost too good. I was hoping to find a good home locally but no luck so its BAT.
