I finally got to disassemble my engine. Everything looks brand new inside. .030 over and the bores look brand new. The camshaft looks good, but I have been trying to identify who made it with no luck.
It is fairly aggressive cam with .309" cam lift intake and 298 deg duration. The exh lift is .329 and 319 deg duration. Duration is measured when the lifter starts lifting.
Anyway, the end of the cam has in it stamped:
36-51-00
BR 289 2H
201889
I have looked for hours with no luck to find these numbers.
Any ideas on who made the cam?
Also, the piston manufacturer is a mystery.
