Back in the day I used to go to Silver Lake to go pick up a local rag called the Recycler, hot off the press for my driver cars and some parts.
Things are easier now There are notifications on Craigslist without going through a third party vendor like Craig's notify or Search tempest. com
But there's also a method here on CAT forum to get email notifications on the for sale section.

In closing it's taken a lot of wrestling to get the forum where it is. These features this community is something that others outside of SAOCA and the other club forums and the email list can't offer. I cut my hobby teeth on
TheSamba and TheCabe, VW and vintage bicycles. two forums that are huge and the Samba helped me to find window parts pre eBay that the *"#$ ing body shop lost for one of my two year only cars and parts for the 64 Falcon and Bug convertibles. I spent many a Sunday at Pomona swap meet before the internet was invented.
