Been working on my Tiger.
I started the process of replacing the sills, been putting it off for 18 years.
Cut off the old to see what lay beneath...... Oh my...
I also purchased panels from Jeff Haworth and show what they look like.
He does great work. I still need to figure some stuff out, like the rear seam.

Also, here are a couple others I just posted
Rear fender rust repair https://youtu.be/pHoGbkGojlM
Repairing the floors https://youtu.be/uVJSJMRtclE

Please subscribe, comment and/or bash... it is all good.
Making the videos helps me to compartmentalize the project and not get overwhelmed with how much is still to do.

Been doing more work to my tiger and recording the progress.

Here are the latest videos

Sill Replacement - Part 3 - inner sill https://youtu.be/PLe5lXdHt1I

Sill Replacement - Part 4 - support sill https://youtu.be/qRUQ-tpm1jk
and
Sill Replacement - Part 5 - panel fitting https://youtu.be/qTuknSfcEVs

I also needed to adjust the door before fitting the panels and there was no video for this. No shims or bending needed, just loose hinge bolts on both sides of the hinge..... the hinge location sets the front and rear door gap.

I will keep posting videos, they help me keep focused... hopefully they help some else too. Please comment and please subscribe.

Thanks for watching.

Here is a big update video
I did all of the drivers side / left side to catch up to the other side.
I cut out the bad patch and all the rust, rebuild the support rail and inner finders and fitted the panels.. well the panel fit is still not where I want it, but close.

This video is over the last 8 months... sort of took the summer off to race. I am glad I have been making these videos as it made it convenient to remember where I was... and what I did to the other side.

I hope to have another update soon.

Thanks for watching

I have had a couple of requests for more detail on how I did my body support to keep the door gaps consistent. I just posted a video showing what I did. There are other ways to do it, but this works for what I needed. I was able to keep the doors and trunk lid on, open and close, but not get too much in the way. Uses existing holes to be bolt in so it is easy to remove, but provides enough support for the body that nothing moved and could constantly check with the door fit.

I fixed the X member and floors completely before attacking the sills, I think that helped keep some support in place rather than cutting everything out a once and having a floppy noddle. If your car is more rusty then a more substantial body support may be necessary.

I did the x member and floor work before I started documenting what I was doing with videos, but I do have lots of pictures. This all started with just trying to fix a hole in the floor.... well I might as well do this too... and this...

Enjoy
