Hello - I am in need of 4 shocks for my early black dash Mark 1. Can anyone tell me there experience with Edelbrook shocks? Also looking at the big price difference on shocks from Sunbeam Specialty is $23 to $195 each (pricing may not be exact but you get the idea).

Thanks- Doug

I don't think the Edelbrocks are available any more, although someone may have a set to sell. Bill Graf sold the last ones. I have had very good luck with Konis, the current classic series is easily adjustable without having to remove from the car. Expensive, but they have lasted 10 years and 20k miles.

Edelbrock Shocks

I love the Edelbrocks. They were great on the street. I even used them on our race Tiger early on.

Tom McDaniel used them quite successfully for autocrossing.

If you're worried about being concours correct, I doubt you'll lose many points if they're sprayed black.

Ive heard the edelbrock are good - they are non adjustable and i have heard firm.

Koni ( new) are adjustable on car now, firm to quite firm and are rebuildable.

Spax adjustable, good shocks good range of ride adjustable on car. Non rebuildable but cost of New about same as rebuilding konis.

Monroe sensatrac are decent for normal street use.

Ganriels are apparently ok for street use

Qa1's are meant to be decent performance shocks

You can't beat Koni's, but my experience with KYB has been good, also...
