(VIN B382000140LRXFEF21KA) (COLOUR 39), and signed by Carroll Shelby (see gallery pics at the website for Vin, Colour, and factory tag).
This Sunbeam Tiger MK1a is one of only 2,706 built - The car was owned by a ford engineer who was affiliated with the proving grounds in Chelsea Michigan. The car was entirely restored in 1988 and no expense was spared.
I have owned this vehicle since 2001. During my ownership many improvements that enhance the vehicle have been done, including; the addition of a aluminum Evenflo Radiator, Wilwood racing brakes (all around), 16" Panisport Wheels New V-rated tires to fit, the addition of a custom burlwood dashboard, and glovebox, Custom Fit Carpet pads, recently a LAT fiberglass hood, new Edelbrock manifold and a cast aluminum Shelby air cleaner, and lastly a very British Montery steering wheel.
Kept under wraps most of the time the car does not see any poor weather. Fully restored in Michigan the car has held up very well. The car deserves a clean conservative 8.5 as far as the overall condition. Those wishing to own a real "European Cobra" need to take a look. For Sale. Worthy of its own website:
