Just picked up some ET aluminum wheels with old slics on them from chirodoc (THANKS!). Will be replaceing the tires before a 1/4 mile run.

Slicks + Linelock = WooooooHooooooo! Don't try this at home.

Are you still running the close ratio tranny? Wouldn't that 2.90 first gear be perfect right about now!!!

They are E-T IV (uni lug) 13 X 7.00

Still running the CR box with 3.07 rear gears. I am waiting on a 5 speed conversion.

Used to auto X on a set of those way back in the 70's. I remember them being fairly light compared to other wheels (American, Cragar) of the time.

IIRC didnt your car originally have 4.20's in the rear or something very short? I am kind of surprised you haven't got the old gearset, welded it up and made a short ratio locker... you seem to be turning into a drag racer

Also.. with runs like that no more complaining about cost of tyres and fuel!
