Hello all participants for Tigers United in Santa Maria!
Just a reminder:
We will be checking for the following things.
Safety
Jack up front- We will jack up the front of the car
from the cross member using a wide jack that
gives us the most security. One of the techs will be
performing all jacking duties.
Front Suspension
Wiggle wheels - check for excessive looseness -
bearings or ball joints
Lower car down
Steering
Move steering wheel - check for excessive free play
Brakes
Check for firm pedal
Seat Belts
Check for fraying and attachments
Under Hood
Fluid leaks
Oil, Water, Brake Fluid
Throttle Return Spring
Two required!
Trunk
Well secured battery.
Lights (Owner operate)
Check function of turn and brake lights
For the autocross portion.
Please remember that for the autocross every driver
will need a helmet and the trunk should be empty
and no loose items in the car.
If needed CAT has some extra helmets which can be
loaned for the event.
