Congratulations Dan! You beat me to Tiger ownership. Hopefully I'll be the next nutball - I mean 'enthusiast' - to join the ranks.

CONGRATULATIONS! Keep us posted and as always, 'there's no such thing as too many pictures'.

That's what I said too........lets see how long that lasts. Just remember, throw nothing away when you are cleaning it up.

Duke, the lure of modifications is quite strong.. but the car Dan has got looks remarkably original.. hope it stays that way. Survivors are few and far between.. and will only get rarer.

My plans are to get the car, take it to a mechanic familiar with Tiger's to go over it in order to make sure it is suitable for driving.....any work proposed or contemplated will be run by the group for opinion/comments....... Should have it in the next 7-10 days......very excited.....

Dan,

I think Dale A's was suggested by one of the users, he has vast Tiger experience and is held in very high regard for his restorations. There are several other Tiger specialists, but not sure how close they are to you.

A good thing to do would be to join CAT and make it down to a meeting, there will be some guys there that can look over the car for you and probably advise you as to any issues that might be obvious, also point you in the right direction for assistance.

The car looks to be a very honest example, i'm sure it will be a matter of some servicing and then regular use to keep it running well. If the car has seen limited use a few issues might be:
Stale fuel or varnish in the tanks, also flaking of the fuel tank paint in the fuel lines.
brake hoses on the front have a habbit of going soft on the inside and causing the brakes to stick on or pull to one side.
Rear wheel cylinders can leak if the car has sat for a long time.

Overall the cars apretty tough and a good drive is often all thats needed to get things loosened again.
