Doug's Tiger

Congrats, Doug! A sister "wedgewood blue"! Can't wait to see what you do with it.

It will be taken completely apart, go back to Wedgewood Blue and make it a great driver to be used as often as possible.

Doug,

A friend of mine got a set of the correct Shelby caps for those wheels for his car a few years back, but he sold the car... I can ask if the caps went with it if you want.

New Tiger owners

Planning exactly the same thing with mine. Very cool.

Looks like everyone graduates from a Mustang to a Tiger. So I guess the Mustangs each of you have will move to the rear of the garage.
I know mine has...:)

Nope not to the rear - just next to each other. I've always had 2 to 3 "older" cars (most of the time) and I just rotate between them. I really emjoy driving them and especially enjoy the comments about the Shelby Hertz, since it's red most think it's a "clone" and are surprised to find its original. I am sure it will be the same when driving the Tiger. I have alway wanted a Tiger and the timing was just right.

So far the Tiger community seems like the Shelby community; less the talk about how much they are worth. But I am sure as time goes on it will change.

One thing that is really similar is the offering of assistance from both the Tiger and Shelby people - most of them are really willing to give advice and do it without the thought of financial gain. I personally experieced this when looking for my Tiger; I would have never found this car if it weren't for a call from someone in the Tiger community. Even the seller is still finding stuff for the car (and sending parts to me) he could have easily sold them on eBay and I would have never known the difference (what a class act).

Now my project begins - got to clean the garage; kick my wife's car of of it to make room for the Tiger:)

Thanks everyone for all your help.

Michael - that would be much appreciated.

Update - just got a phone call from the driver whose delivering my Tiger - it's officially in CA, it will be delivered prior to noon Monday :D

Doug, believe it or not, mine too! I wonder if it's the same driver. Mine is coming from the Bar Area.

Got the Tiger in my garage and had my body guy over - searched and search and body and underside is GREAT. Only a little spot where the battery once was. Car is still not pretty to look at; but it's all that I was told it was - no surprises. My body/paint guys was really surprised. And boy so was I.

Keep you posted -

Doug, that's great news the bottom 6 inches of these cars can be where a lot of money goes, if that's all good snd your front scuttle is solid your restoration is going to be much easier faster and cheaper... Congratulations on getting a solid car.... You'll be tigering soon!
