I need chrome trim for convertible top compartment doors on 65 Tiger MK1. The trim fits in the five holes. Thank you, Chris Riley

Chris, the tirm is a single piece of stainless steel with a radius to match the profile of the vertical and horizontal surfaces.
They added this to stop the centre panel gauging the paint as it opens and closes.
They come up occasionally.. often with broken mounting pins.
A while back someone made some repros..
I would contact @Austin Healer @65sunbeam maybe smitty, Dale A ...
But to be honest I'd find local metal shop, see if they have a profile that works or can roll you one.. then fix it to the panels with automotive tape

I don't have any of them, but the ones on the last Mk1 I restored were NOT stainless

Thank you for the response! I did send Dale a text and he will check to see if he has any when he gets back to California. He is at his house in Tennessee right now. I hope he can at least get me one so I have a template.

I think they are chrome plated brass with the pins soldered on before plating. I have soldered on pins where they have broken off. If I had to make some from scratch, I'd look to start with a piece of copper pipe that matches the radius.

You still need to fit the rubber parts to the edge of the side doors where they meet with the main door. These seals are available from Sunbeam Specialties under part number AT64, you will need two. these were originally retained with a 2 part "speed rivet", I also used 3M black weatherstrip adhesive to install them securely.

As a side note.. if not interested in being 100% original.. we had a car that someone did a clever mod for the side cover seals that rivet on, they used the holes to insert 2 very gently domes rubber plugs .. these perform the same function by buffering the centre cover from rubbing.. but don't pull off or rip.

Thank you for information! As much as I know about these cars I knew nothing much about the convertible top compartment except you either had doors or the boot. Mine had vinyl over the doors when we got car back. My Dad bought the car new and sold in 70s when I was kid. We found it and bought it back in 2005. I will get the rubber pieces from SS.
