Time to do some rear axle work. Had to pull the 9" drop out to install a gasket. Also a quick wipe of the internals since it's been sitting a long while. Got it out, popped on a nice lubelocker gasket that requires NO silicone gloop. And buttoned it all up. Then got motivated to install the drive shaft assembly. Found some metal from the seat belt brackets on the under side of the car that were overhanging into the rear of the tunnel a bit (maybe 1/4") so had to cut those back as the big driveshaft is really close as it is.
Seems to just fit, hopefully nothing moves around (engine/trans/axle) to keep things centered.
