Update - my Tiger gets shipped tomorrow and I will see it Monday or Tuesday. I cannot express how easy it was working with the seller; there were many items that I had no idea I was getting and items that I am sure he could of sold on ebay; before comments arise - the seller is a long time Tiger guy and knows the value of these items. He's just a stand up guy.

The car is one of the 1st 100 made and is Wedgwood Blue .

Thanks to all on this site for your help and advise.

Congratulations

Doug

Please post some photos when you get a chance. I own 0033 and as you might guess I am very interested in the very early versions.

All the Best with your new acquisition.

Very exciting news Doug, can't wait to see the pictures posted here. It's always fun to get a new car and start to go through all the spare parts and see what's all there.

Any idea what these rims are and where I can get 1 and 4 caps? They are 14" wheels.

They look like Shelby rims that were offered in the minilite style thanks to raised rib on the center, but don't have the small ribs on that edge, perhaps minilites or maybe more modern superlites... Any markings on the inside of the rims or the lip?

I had a set of Western wheels that looked identical to those. Measure the center hole diameter, may help us out. I bought a Tiger in the 90's that had an NOS set of the Shelby wheels like these, gave them to a friend for his Tiger--he still runs them.

Thanks all for the suggestions, I will have to wait till the car gets here to see and get better photos of the wheel.

It's on the way to California; picked up about 1 1/2 hours ago.

My wife saw this photo and thinks the the Tiger looks afraid :). I guess shes already bonding with it; especially good as when I first showed her photos she said it look like a piece of junk (or something like that).

Keep you posted.

rims

Have to agree with Mark P I have a set of 13 Shelby Mini Lites
look the same. I got 2 center caps on E bay. Can't help on the
rim but good luck. Kevin

After further research with my Shelby friends those caps look like caps from 80s Dodge Shelby wheels.

80's is right... I bought my wheels in 1980... The
'auction' caps are black but I remember mine were chrome and I changed the 'Shelby' decals and had the spokes painted black for a time... Oddly, I ordered 2 different width wheels and the 'flat' centers were machined on one pair and not on the other so the tire shop paid to have them machined to match
Guess you'll have to get the car and measure the holes as I assume other caps may fit and you'd probably be looking for some 'Tiger V8' decals

Doug your comment brings back a funny memory, years ago I bought a Triumph Spitfire and my wife thought I was crazy until she drove it for a week at which time she informed me "Bill I hope you realize that's my car". Henceforth I was promoted to Chief Mechanic šŸ˜€

Dougs Tiger

Hi Doug, congratulations or your new find! I was just admiring your pictures, do you happen to have a better picture of the bottom passenger side door? In the picture it looks square cornered on that side. It's probably my eyes and the angle. Good to have you along!

Cheers,
Brian

My wife won't drive the Shelby; however a while back I took her for a ride in a friends 64 Tiger and she loved the size and said "lets get one" she has also committed to learning to drive a 4speed:eek: she would rarely get into my Bug Eye Sprite much less want to drive it. And when my 15&1/2 year old daughter heard that mom was going to learn to drive the Tiger she volunteered to assist me in tearing it apart and getting it back together; oh she wants to learn to drive it as well :eek:. Fortunately her 2 older brothers already know how to drive a stick:.

The adventure begins:)

I had over 200 photos taken by a friend while I was looking at this car.
