Engine paint color

Anyone agree that a 1966 Tiger toploader was painted? The paint and condition of my transmission looked original to me.

The low milage original paint cars ive seen were a bare casting on the trans. I dont think its a flaking paint issue like the diff centre... Think it was just caat them . load them... Install them
